Client brief

For this impressive Kingston property, the client’s vision was a "simplistic, modern, and spacious" retreat. The brief was specific about the use of colour: the client wanted to explore various shades and textures of white to ensure the room felt perpetually open and bright. The challenge was to create a minimalist environment that avoided feeling clinical, instead achieving a balance of "elegance and practicality" that could serve as a calming start to the day.

The process

To prevent an all-white bathroom from feeling flat, our designer utilised "textural layering." By mixing different white finishes, from the matte stone of the basins to the polished surfaces of the tiles, we created depth and visual interest without breaking the monochrome theme. The process focused on "organic flow," using pebble-shaped fixtures to soften the room's clean, modern lines. By elevating the furniture and choosing a high-capacity vanity, we were able to maintain the minimalist aesthetic while providing the robust storage necessary for a high-functioning master suite.

What we did

Organic Focal Point: Installed the impressive StoneKAST Pebble bathtub as the room's central statement piece, its soft, curved silhouette providing a natural anchor for the minimalist design.

His & Hers Symmetry: Created a sophisticated double-vanity area featuring two StoneKAST Pebble countertop basins, perfectly matching the bath for a cohesive, designer look.

High-Capacity Minimalist Storage: Specified a Faeber wall-hung basin unit with a 6-drawer configuration, providing vast amounts of storage to keep surfaces clear while maintaining the "floating" floor-space effect.

Expansive Showering Zone: Integrated a large shower enclosure, utilising clear glass and white tones to ensure the fixture felt integrated rather than intrusive.

Luminous Tonal Palette: Curated a selection of "shades and textures of white" across the walls and floors to maximize the perception of light and space.

Contemporary Precision: Delivered a master ensuite that epitomises "elegant practicality," successfully completed in 2018 as a timeless example of modern Surrey design.
Friendly, helpful and professional service offered at all times. From first design & layout help, choosing sanitaryware & tiling, then through to delivery. I couldn't fault the service I was given from Jacob Dean! Thank you, I love my new bathroom!
