Separate slotted and unslotted options are also available, which adds simple pop-out cleaning advantages. If your basin has a built-in overflow, you will need a SLOTTED basin waste which will allow overflow water to be drained, whether the waste is open or not. If your basin doesn’t have a built-in overflow, you will need a UNSLOTTED basin waste which is watertight and does not allow overflowing water to feed into the waste pipe. Typically Crosswater wastes have a premium and straightforward click-clack mechanism which requires a single push to close and to open, but a permanently open free-flow wastes are also available.
