Client brief

For this Fulham-based project, the client required a master ensuite that functioned as a private sanctuary. The brief emphasised a "free-flowing" design that didn't sacrifice privacy, necessitating a clever layout to shield the more functional areas of the room. Above all, the space needed to feel relaxing and spacious, utilising a minimalist aesthetic to reduce visual clutter and promote a sense of calm.

The process

To achieve a balance between openness and privacy, our designer utilised a "zoned" architectural approach. By using bespoke glass partitions to discreetly wall off the WC and shower, we maintained the room's flow while providing the requested seclusion. We prioritised "floating" fixtures and recessed elements to maximise the floor area, allowing the natural light reflected by large-scale mirrors to enhance the room's airy, "safe haven" atmosphere.

What we did

Intelligent Privacy Zoning: Utilised bespoke doors and partitions from The Shower Lab to cleverly divide the WC and shower enclosure from the main suite, providing privacy within an open-plan layout.

Minimalist Floor-to-Ceiling Aesthetic: Paired European Tiles Time Calcatta wall tiles with Inside Lake floor tiles, creating a seamless and elegant stone-effect backdrop that emphasises the room's scale.

Bespoke "His & Hers" Vanity: Integrated a custom Faeber Mode furniture unit topped with twin Crosswater Serene countertop basins, offering a symmetrical and luxurious grooming station.

Light-Enhancing Mirror: Installed a large, bespoke London Showers recessed mirror, strategically positioned to reflect natural light and deepen the room's sense of spaciousness.

Sculptural Freestanding Bath: Capitalised on the expansive floor space by installing a freestanding bathtub as a central focal point for relaxation.

Wall-Hung Configuration: Specified wall-hung fixtures throughout to maintain clean lines and keep the floor area unobstructed, reinforcing the minimalist design language.
